Amazon has announced the general availability of Amazon Bedrock Data Automation (BDA), a new feature that helps developers automate insight generation from multimodal content like documents, images, video, and audio.
- Enables developers to build GenAI-based applications more efficiently
- Can be used standalone or as a parser in Amazon Knowledge Bases RAG workflows
- Supports Amazon Q Business for multimodal asset processing
- New capabilities include:
- Improved document accuracy
- Enhanced video summarization
- Detection of 35,000+ company logos
- Cross-region inference optimization
- Added security features like KMS encryption and AWS PrivateLink
Currently available in US West (Oregon) and US East (N. Virginia) regions, BDA aims to simplify multimodal data processing for developers.
