Amazon Bedrock Data Automation now supports modality controls, hyperlinks and larger documents

Amazon Bedrock Data Automation (BDA) has introduced several new features to enhance document processing capabilities:
- Modality Enablement and Routing allows configuring processing for different content types (Document, Image, Audio, Video)
- Users can now route JPEG/PNG files as either Images or Documents
- MP4/MOV files can be processed as video or audio files
- New feature extracts embedded hyperlinks from PDF documents
- Document page limit increased from 1,500 to 3,000 pages
The update provides more flexibility in multimodal content processing and improves information extraction capabilities. BDA is now generally available in US West (Oregon) and US East (N. Virginia) regions.
