AWS has announced the availability of Pixtral-12B, a 12 billion parameter vision language model from Mistral AI, on Amazon Bedrock Marketplace. This advanced multimodal model offers several key capabilities:
- Processes images at native resolution with a 128k token context window
- Demonstrates strong performance across text and multimodal tasks
- Includes a 400-million-parameter vision encoder and 12-billion-parameter multimodal transformer decoder
- Released under a commercially permissive Apache 2.0 license
- Supports use cases like logical reasoning, product information extraction, vehicle damage assessment, and handwriting recognition
The model is available through Amazon Bedrock Marketplace and can be deployed with various configuration options, enabling developers to leverage advanced multimodal AI capabilities across different industries.
