AWS has announced the general availability of MQTT enabled SiteWise Edge gateways for AWS IoT SiteWise, enhancing industrial data integration and connectivity.

  • New gateways include an MQTTv5 broker for centralized edge component communication
  • Enables publish and subscribe topology between edge components
  • Simplifies data integration and eliminates point-to-point connections
  • Supports data contextualization and enrichment of equipment telemetry
  • Provides native integration with AWS cloud services and Unified Name Space (UNS)
  • Securely transmits equipment data streams with store and forward capabilities

This release improves industrial data management by providing a more flexible and efficient way to collect and process data at the edge.
