AWS Identity and Access Management now supports dual-stack (IPv4 and IPv6) environments

AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) has introduced dual-stack endpoint support, enabling connectivity through both IPv4 and IPv6 networks.

  • New public endpoint supports simultaneous IPv4 and IPv6 client connections
  • Available in all commercial AWS Regions, AWS GovCloud (US), and China Regions
  • Works with public internet and private VPC connections via AWS PrivateLink
  • Allows customers to gradually transition from IPv4 to IPv6 infrastructure

This update provides flexibility for customers managing network transitions and modernizing their cloud infrastructure connectivity.
