AWS has expanded AWS Backup to support Amazon Redshift Serverless, enabling centralized data protection for Redshift data warehouses.
- Automates backup and restore of Amazon Redshift Serverless and provisioned cluster snapshots
- Allows creation of backup policies via AWS Backup Management console, API, or CLI
- Supports restoring entire Redshift namespaces or individual tables
- Integrates with AWS Organizations for centralized backup management across accounts
- Available in all regions where Amazon Redshift Serverless is currently supported
This enhancement simplifies data protection for Redshift Serverless users by providing automated, centralized backup and restore capabilities.
