AWS CDK L2 Construct for Amazon Cognito Identity Pools now generally available

AWS has announced the general availability of the AWS CDK L2 construct for Amazon Cognito Identity Pools, a new library that simplifies authentication and authorization management for web and mobile applications.

  • Enables programmatic definition and deployment of Identity Pool resources
  • Supports configuration of multiple authentication providers, including:
    • Amazon Cognito User Pools
    • Social identity providers (Facebook, Google, Apple, Amazon)
    • SAML 2.0 providers
  • Implements security best practices by default
  • Reduces complexity of managing authentication and authorization
  • Available in all AWS Regions where Amazon Cognito is supported

The construct library allows developers to define Identity Pools as infrastructure as code using familiar programming languages.
