AWS simplifies Amazon VPC Peering billing
News
AWS has introduced a new billing feature for Amazon VPC Peering that simplifies cost tracking and understanding.
- New usage type "Region_Name-VpcPeering-In/Out-Bytes" added to billing reports
- Allows customers to easily view VPC Peering usage in Cost Explorer and Cost and Usage Report
- Previously, VPC Peering usage was buried under intra-regional Data Transfer usage
- No changes to actual pricing or VPC Peering connection configurations
- Applies to all AWS commercial and AWS Gov Cloud (US) Regions
This update helps customers better understand and track their VPC Peering costs without making any operational changes.
