.NET on AWS Blog

AWS Elastic Beanstalk has introduced a new integration with AWS Secrets Manager and Systems Manager Parameter Store, enabling more secure and flexible configuration management for applications.

  • Supports three configuration sources: plain text, Parameter Store, and Secrets Manager
  • Eliminates previous 4096-byte environment variable limitation
  • Provides encrypted and secure storage for sensitive configuration data
  • Allows dynamic configuration updates without full application redeployment
  • Enables centralized management of credentials and parameters

This new feature simplifies configuration management, enhances security, and provides more flexible options for storing and accessing application settings in Elastic Beanstalk environments.
