AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) has introduced automated public TLS certificates for Amazon CloudFront, simplifying certificate management for customers.
- Customers can now automatically obtain public certificates with a single checkbox when creating CloudFront distributions
- ACM automatically requests, issues, and associates certificates with CloudFront
- Certificates are automatically renewed as long as the domain is in use and routed through CloudFront
- Uses HTTP domain validation to ensure certificate issuance security
- Administrators can monitor certificate lifecycle through CloudWatch events
This feature reduces manual certificate management steps and provides seamless TLS security for CloudFront content delivery networks.
