AWS Client VPN now supports Client Routes Enforcement

News

AWS has introduced a new Client Routes Enforcement feature for AWS Client VPN that enhances remote access security by monitoring and protecting network routing configurations.

  • Continuously tracks device routing tables to prevent VPN traffic leaks
  • Automatically restores original VPN route configurations if modifications are detected
  • Ensures admins' network routing settings remain consistently applied
  • Prevents users or clients from bypassing configured VPN routes
  • Available in all AWS Client VPN regions at no additional cost

The feature provides organizations with improved control and security over remote network access by maintaining the integrity of VPN connection settings.
