AWS Systems Manager launches just-in-time node access

AWS Systems Manager has launched just-in-time node access, a new feature that enhances security and access control for system administrators.

• Allows creation of zero standing privileges to nodes across AWS, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments
• Provides policy-based access control for remote node connections
• Enables administrators to set dynamic, time-bound access permissions
• Supports three access modes: denied, automatically approved, or requiring human approval
• Offers increased visibility by recording Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) sessions
• Available in multiple global regions, including Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Americas
• Can be configured at individual account, organizational unit, or organization-wide levels
