AWS has released a new open-source ODBC driver for PostgreSQL with advanced features for Amazon RDS and Aurora PostgreSQL-compatible databases.
- Supports faster switchover and failover times
- Compatible with Aurora Limitless
- Enables authentication via AWS Secrets Manager, IAM, or Federated Identity
- Available for Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms
- Reduces failover times from tens of seconds to single-digit seconds
- Released under the LGPL open-source license
The driver provides improved performance and authentication options for PostgreSQL database connections across different platforms.
