Big Data Blog

Amazon has introduced Amazon Q Developer support in OpenSearch Service, an AI-assisted feature designed to help developers analyze operational and telemetry data more efficiently. The new capabilities aim to reduce mean time to repair (MTTR) by simplifying complex data analysis workflows.

  • Natural language-based visualizations that allow users to create charts and graphs without specialized query knowledge
  • Result summarization that provides condensed insights from query results
  • Anomaly detector suggestions that help identify potential issues in operational data
  • Alert summarization and insights to quickly understand and investigate system alerts
  • Best practices guidance powered by AWS documentation

The feature is available in multiple AWS regions at no additional cost and is designed to help teams of all experience levels improve their observability workflows using generative AI capabilities within OpenSearch Service.
