Amazon Aurora and RDS databases now support Reserved Instances for R7i and M7i instances, offering customers enhanced performance and cost savings.
- Instances powered by 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors
- Sizes up to 48xlarge with 8:1 memory to vCPU ratio
- Uses latest DDR5 memory technology
- Three flexible payment options: All Upfront, Partial Upfront, and No Upfront
- Supports Aurora MySQL, Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS MySQL, RDS PostgreSQL, and RDS MariaDB
- Available in all AWS regions with On-Demand R7i and M7i instances
Customers can purchase Reserved Instances through AWS Management Console, AWS CLI, or AWS SDK, with potential significant cost savings compared to On-Demand pricing.
