Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus has launched new query insights and control capabilities to help customers manage and optimize their monitoring workspaces.
- Identify expensive PromQL queries by monitoring Query Samples Processed (QSP) thresholds
- Log query details to Amazon CloudWatch for analysis
- Set warning or error thresholds for query execution
- Pre-empt expensive queries by configuring limits in the QueryMetrics API
- Receive warnings for queries exceeding defined thresholds
The feature is now available in all regions where Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus is generally available, providing enhanced governance and cost control for monitoring queries.
