Amazon Athena announces managed query results to streamline analysis workflows
News
Amazon Athena has introduced managed query results, a new feature that automatically handles query result storage and management at no extra cost.
- Automatically stores, encrypts, and manages query result lifecycles
- Eliminates the need for separate S3 buckets to store query results
- Provides both service-managed and customer-managed storage options
- Allows running queries in fewer steps without specifying S3 result locations
- Ensures result encryption and automatic cleanup of unnecessary data
Users can configure managed query results through AWS Management Console, SDK, or CLI, and the feature is available in most Athena regions except GovCloud and China.
