Amazon RDS Custom for Oracle has expanded its support to include R7i and M7i instances, offering enhanced performance for database deployments.

  • Powered by custom 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors
  • Available in sizes up to 48xlarge, 50% larger than previous R6i and M6i instances
  • Supports Bring Your Own License model for Oracle Database Enterprise and Standard Editions
  • Can be modified on existing RDS instances or created through RDS Management Console, AWS SDK, or CLI
  • Designed for legacy, custom, and packaged applications requiring OS and database environment access

This update provides more powerful and flexible options for Oracle database deployments on AWS.
