AWS HealthImaging launches DICOMweb QIDO-RS search and enhanced data management

AWS HealthImaging has launched new features for medical image management, focusing on enhanced search and data organization capabilities:
- Introduces DICOMweb QIDO-RS search standard for easier data retrieval
- Automatically organizes image sets into DICOM Study and Series resources
- Merges incoming DICOM SOP instances to the same DICOM Series automatically
- Eliminates need for post-import workflows, reducing complexity
- Reduces latency for DICOMweb WADO-RS APIs
- Supports faster import of large imaging instances like digital pathology whole slide imaging
The service is now generally available in US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Sydney), and Europe (Ireland), offering a HIPAA-eligible solution for healthcare providers and researchers to manage medical images at petabyte scale.
