CloudTrail Lake now supports event enrichment and expanded event size
News
AWS has announced two significant enhancements to CloudTrail Lake, a managed data lake for analyzing AWS activity logs:
- Event Enrichment: Allows appending resource tags and AWS global condition keys to events
- Enables more detailed categorization, searching, and analysis of AWS activity
- Can create application-specific activity reports and view API actions by IAM principal properties
- Expanded Event Size: Increases maximum event size from 256 KB to 1 MB
- Reduces event truncation and provides more comprehensive security analysis
These features can be enabled through AWS Management Console or APIs in supported commercial regions, integrating with CloudTrail Lake's analytical capabilities including AI-powered query and summarization.
