AWS Cloud Operations Blog

AWS has announced a new enhancement to CloudTrail Lake called Event Enrichment, which allows users to add additional business context to AWS activity logs.

  • Enables adding resource tags and AWS global condition keys to CloudTrail events
  • Helps security and compliance teams better understand and analyze account activity
  • Allows categorization, searching, and analyzing AWS activities with additional context
  • Can include tags like Environment, Team, and Data Classification
  • Supports creating custom dashboards and visualizations with enriched event data

The feature helps organizations gain deeper insights into AWS activities by providing more detailed information about resources, user actions, and business-specific contexts during event logging.
