Amazon CloudWatch has enhanced Contributor Insights with log transformation capabilities, enabling more advanced log analysis and monitoring.
- Supports creating Contributor Insights rules on transformed logs in JSON format
- Allows analysis of top contributors, unique contributors, and usage patterns
- Supports pre-configured templates for AWS services like WAF and VPC Flow Logs
- Enables log transformation using custom transformers like Grok
- Allows renaming attributes and adding metadata such as account ID
- Available in all AWS Commercial Regions at no additional cost
- Supports configuration via CloudWatch Console, CLI, CloudFormation, CDK, and SDKs
