Amazon DataZone launches upgrade domain to SageMaker

Amazon DataZone has launched a new feature that allows upgrading an existing DataZone domain to Amazon SageMaker, enabling seamless transition and continued use of existing resources.
- Administrators can upgrade domains through a UI-driven experience
- All previously created content (assets, metadata, glossaries) transfers to SageMaker Unified Studio
- Both DataZone and SageMaker portals remain accessible during and after upgrade
- Enables expansion to new SQL analytics, data processing, and AI use cases
- Available in multiple AWS regions worldwide
This upgrade capability allows customers to build upon their existing DataZone investment and leverage SageMaker's unified platform for data, analytics, and AI needs.
