AWS has introduced a new feature for Amazon DataZone that allows upgrading domains to Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio, enabling expanded analytics, data processing, and AI use cases.

  • Customers can transfer their existing Amazon DataZone content to SageMaker
  • All assets, metadata forms, glossaries, and subscriptions migrate to the new platform
  • Both DataZone and SageMaker portals remain accessible during transition
  • Provides a unified platform for data, analytics, and AI needs
  • Supports collaboration across data analysts, engineers, and ML teams

The upgrade process involves selecting IAM roles, transferring user identities, and verifying project migrations, allowing organizations to expand their data and AI capabilities seamlessly.
