AWS has announced the public availability of AWS API models, providing open-source access to their service interface definitions through Smithy API models.
- API models are now published daily on Maven Central and GitHub
- Smithy models define AWS public interface definitions and behaviors
- Developers can use these models to:
- Generate custom SDK clients
- Create API implementations
- Build developer tools
- Understand AWS API behaviors
The models provide detailed information about AWS services, including operations, protocols, authentication, and error handling, enabling developers to more easily integrate with and understand AWS services.
