AWS has announced the public availability of AWS API models, providing open-source access to their service interface definitions through Smithy API models.

  • API models are now published daily on Maven Central and GitHub
  • Smithy models define AWS public interface definitions and behaviors
  • Developers can use these models to:
  • Generate custom SDK clients
  • Create API implementations
  • Build developer tools
  • Understand AWS API behaviors

The models provide detailed information about AWS services, including operations, protocols, authentication, and error handling, enabling developers to more easily integrate with and understand AWS services.
