AWS has expanded Trusted Advisor capabilities by integrating 15 new cost optimization checks from the AWS Cost Optimization Hub, providing more actionable insights for reducing AWS spending.
- New checks offer more customized and specific cost optimization recommendations
- Customers must opt-in to Cost Optimization Hub and Compute Optimizer to receive these checks
- Recommendations cover various services including EC2, RDS, Lambda, ElastiCache, and more
- New checks provide more accurate cost savings estimates by accounting for specific commercial terms
- Existing legacy checks will remain available but are encouraged to be replaced by new checks
The integration aims to help AWS customers more easily identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across their cloud infrastructure.
