Amazon RDS Custom for SQL Server now supports Cumulative Update (CU) 18 for Microsoft SQL Server 2022, offering several key features:
- Available for Developer, Web, Standard, and Enterprise editions
- Includes performance improvements and bug fixes
- Can be upgraded via RDS Management Console, AWS SDK, or CLI
- Supports two licensing models: License Included (LI) and Bring Your Own Media (BYOM)
- Available in all AWS Regions where RDS Custom for SQL Server is supported
This update allows customers to easily upgrade their SQL Server instances with the latest cumulative updates while maintaining flexibility in licensing and customization.
