Amazon S3 Express One Zone now offers a new RenameObject API that enables atomic object renaming with a single API call, without data movement.
- Allows renaming objects within the same S3 directory bucket instantly
- Completes object renaming in milliseconds, even for large 1-terabyte files
- Accelerates applications like log file management, media processing, and data analytics
- Available in all AWS Regions where S3 Express One Zone is supported
- Can be used with AWS SDKs, CLI, Management Console, S3 API, and Mountpoint for S3
This feature significantly improves performance and reduces operational costs by simplifying object management in S3 Express One Zone.
