AWS has announced job metadata logging support for AWS Parallel Computing Service (PCS), enabling detailed job tracking and analysis.
- Job completion logs can be emitted to CloudWatch Logs, Amazon S3, and Amazon Data Firehose
- Logs include metadata like job submission time, start time, completion time, user, queue, and EC2 instances used
- Enables analysis of usage patterns, troubleshooting job failures, and tracking job wait times
- Can generate user-level usage reports
- Available in all AWS Regions where PCS is supported
- Easy to enable through AWS Management Console for new PCS clusters
