AWS has announced the general availability of Amazon EC2 C8gn instances, powered by the latest AWS Graviton4 processors.
- Provides up to 30% better compute performance compared to C7gn instances
- Features 6th generation AWS Nitro Cards with up to 600 Gbps network bandwidth
- Ideal for network-intensive workloads like network appliances, data analytics, and AI/ML inference
- Offers instance sizes up to 48xlarge with up to 384 GiB of memory
- Supports Elastic Fabric Adapter networking on select sizes for improved cluster performance
- Available in US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon) regions
The new C8gn instances provide enhanced networking capabilities and performance for compute-intensive applications.
