Amazon QuickSight has launched Trusted Identity Propagation (TIP) for Athena Direct Query, enabling enhanced data access control and security:

  • Allows fine-grained access controls using Lake Formation Rules
  • Enables secure row and column-level data access governance
  • Supports the same dashboard across different customers or departments
  • Available in QuickSight Standard and Enterprise Editions
  • Supported across multiple global regions including US, Canada, South America, Europe, and Asia Pacific

This feature provides more granular data access control and security for organizations using QuickSight and Athena Direct Query.
