Amazon Bedrock has introduced API keys to streamline developer access and authentication for its AI services. This enhancement simplifies the process of integrating AI models into applications.
- Two types of API keys are available: long-term and short-term
- Long-term keys can be set with expiration times from 1 day to indefinite
- Short-term keys use existing IAM permissions and expire within 12 hours
- API keys support various operations like model inference, fine-tuning, and evaluation
- Available in 20 AWS Regions
The new API key approach reduces authentication complexity, allowing developers to quickly start working with Amazon Bedrock's foundation models and focus on building AI applications.
