Amazon Bedrock has introduced API keys to simplify generative AI development, making it easier for developers to access and authenticate model services.
- Developers can generate access credentials directly in the Bedrock console or AWS SDK
- Two types of API keys are available: short-term (up to 12 hours) and long-term (with customizable validity)
- API key authentication is now available in 20 AWS Regions worldwide
- No manual IAM principal and policy configuration is required
- Detailed documentation and implementation examples are available
