The Amazon S3 console now displays an external access summary for all your buckets

News

Amazon S3 has introduced a new feature in the S3 console that provides an external access summary for S3 buckets across an AWS account.

  • Displays a global summary of policies granting external access to buckets
  • Helps identify S3 buckets with public access or access from other AWS accounts
  • Eliminates the need to inspect policies in each AWS Region individually
  • Powered by AWS IAM Access Analyzer
  • Available at no additional cost in all AWS Regions

This feature enhances security visibility by providing a centralized view of external access to S3 buckets across an entire AWS account.
