Announcing the end of support for Node.js 18.x in AWS CDK

AWS is announcing the end of support for Node.js 18.x in AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) on November 30th, 2025.

  • Node.js 18.x reached end of life on April 30, 2025
  • Users are encouraged to upgrade to Node.js 22.x, the current Active LTS version
  • Support will officially end on December 1st, 2025
  • No more bug fixes, security patches, or technical support for Node.js 18.x
  • Recommended migration steps include checking current Node.js versions and testing projects on newer versions

This deprecation ensures AWS CDK users benefit from the latest security patches, performance improvements, and modern Node.js capabilities.
