Amazon MemoryDB now supports an AWS FIS action to pause multi-Region cluster replication

News

Amazon MemoryDB has introduced a new AWS Fault Injection Service (FIS) action to pause replication for multi-Region clusters, enabling advanced resilience testing.

  • Allows controlled testing of application response to regional replication disruption
  • Helps improve application availability and monitoring processes
  • Supports creating experiment templates for continuous integration testing
  • Can be combined with other FIS actions for comprehensive resilience scenarios
  • Available in all AWS Regions that support MemoryDB Multi-Region

This feature enables developers to proactively test and enhance their multi-Region application's fault tolerance and recovery mechanisms.
