  • Developers can now transition Lambda functions to VS Code with a single click
  • Preserves existing code and configurations during transfer
  • Enables advanced IDE capabilities like dependency management and development tools
  • Introduces ability to convert applications to AWS Serverless Application Model (SAM) templates
  • Accessible via "Open in Visual Studio Code" button in Lambda console

The feature is available in most commercial AWS Regions at no additional cost, streamlining the development workflow for serverless applications by reducing setup complexity.
