Amazon Braket launches new 54-qubit superconducting quantum processor from IQM

Amazon Braket has launched a new 54-qubit superconducting quantum processor called IQM Emerald, expanding its quantum computing hardware offerings.
- Located in the Europe (Stockholm) Region, alongside the existing 20-qubit Garnet processor
- Features a square lattice architecture with high-connectivity and native support for surface-code error correction
- Offers impressive gate fidelities: 99.93% for single-qubit gates and 99.5% for two-qubit gates
- Supports dynamic circuits, allowing mid-circuit measurements and conditional operations
- Accessible through Braket SDK with on-demand and priority access options
The new processor enables researchers to explore more complex quantum algorithms and larger entangled states, with potential applications in finance, energy, pharmaceuticals, and logistics.
