Improve RabbitMQ performance on Amazon MQ with AWS Graviton3-based M7g instances
Big Data Blog
AWS has announced the availability of AWS Graviton3-based RabbitMQ brokers on Amazon MQ, running on Amazon EC2 M7g instances, offering significant performance and cost benefits:
- Up to 50% higher workload capacity compared to M5 instances
- Up to 85% higher throughput for RabbitMQ clusters
- Optimized disk sizes resulting in storage cost savings
- Supports instance sizes from medium to 16xlarge
- Compatible with RabbitMQ version 3.13
Key improvements include increased memory threshold, better performance across queue types, and reduced disk storage costs for cluster deployments. Customers can migrate existing RabbitMQ brokers to M7g instances using AWS Management Console, APIs, or CLI.
