News
Amazon SNS standard topics now support message group IDs, enabling fair queue functionality for Amazon SQS standard queues.
- Mitigates "noisy neighbor" impact in multi-tenant environments
- Prevents high-volume or slow-processing messages from delaying other tenant messages
- Automatically forwards message group IDs to subscribed SQS standard queues
- Useful for SaaS applications, event-driven architectures, and microservices
- Available in all AWS commercial and GovCloud (US) Regions
This feature helps maintain quality of service by ensuring more balanced message processing across different tenants and request types.
