News

AWS Systems Manager (SSM) Run Command has introduced a new feature that allows users to interpolate parameters into environment variables before executing commands.

  • Enables interpolating parameters into environment variables
  • Helps prevent unintended command injection
  • Handles parameters as literal strings
  • Available in all AWS Commercial and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions
  • Requires SSM Command Documents with Schema version 2.2
  • Requires SSM Agent version 3.3.2746.0 or higher

This update enhances the security and flexibility of command execution on managed instances by providing a more controlled way of handling parameters.
