AWS has announced the availability of OpenAI open weight models in Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker JumpStart, offering new AI model options for developers and enterprises.
- Two new open weight models: gpt-oss-120b and gpt-oss-20b
- Excellent performance in coding, scientific analysis, and mathematical reasoning
- Features 128K context window and adjustable reasoning levels
- Supports external tool integration and agentic workflows
- Available in US West (Oregon) and select East/Asia Pacific regions
- Deployable through Amazon Bedrock or SageMaker JumpStart
The models provide flexibility for customization, enterprise-grade security, and seamless integration with existing AWS tools and workflows.
