AWS Batch now supports AWS Graviton-based Spot compute with AWS Fargate, offering customers a cost-effective solution for running Arm-based applications.
- Provides up to 70% cost savings compared to standard Fargate pricing
- Enables running fault-tolerant Arm-based workloads in a serverless environment
- Allows creation of Fargate Compute Environments with ARM64 CPU architecture
- Available in all commercial and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions
- Leverages spare AWS Graviton-based compute capacity
To implement, users can create a new Fargate Compute Environment, select ARM64 as the CPU architecture, and choose FARGATE_SPOT as the type.
