Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus has added support for resource-based policies, enhancing cross-account monitoring capabilities.
- Allows specifying IAM principals who can ingest or query metrics in a workspace
- Eliminates the previous requirement of assuming IAM roles in the workspace owner account
- Enables easier cross-account metric access using Prometheus-compatible APIs
- Available in all regions where the service is generally available
This update simplifies metric sharing and access management across different AWS accounts, providing more flexibility for monitoring complex cloud environments.
