News

Amazon S3 Express One Zone now supports resilience testing through AWS Fault Injection Service (FIS), enabling developers to test application failover and recovery during potential Availability Zone disruptions.

  • FIS network disruption action allows testing of S3 Express One Zone directory buckets
  • Data plane requests will timeout during fault injection experiments
  • Helps validate application monitoring and recovery processes
  • Available in all AWS Regions where S3 Express One Zone is supported
  • Can be initiated through AWS Management Console, CLI, or FIS API

This feature enables developers to proactively test and improve application resilience by simulating potential service disruptions in a controlled environment.
