Amazon EKS now supports Kubernetes namespace configuration for AWS and Community add-ons, offering enhanced control and organization of add-ons within Kubernetes clusters.
- Users can specify custom namespaces during add-on installation
- Enables better organization and isolation of add-on objects
- Supports configuration through AWS Management Console, EKS APIs, AWS CLI, and CloudFormation
- Changing a namespace requires removing and recreating the add-on
- Available in all commercial AWS Regions
This feature provides more flexibility in managing Kubernetes add-ons and aligning them with existing operational strategies.
