Use account-agnostic, reusable project profiles in Amazon SageMaker to streamline governance

Big Data Blog

AWS SageMaker now supports account-agnostic project profiles, allowing organizations to create reusable project templates across multiple AWS accounts and organizational units. This new feature offers enhanced flexibility and governance for machine learning project management.

  • Project profiles are no longer tied to specific AWS accounts or Regions
  • Platform teams can define project configurations once and reuse them across accounts
  • Users can select from authorized AWS accounts during project creation
  • Supports three account pool scenarios:
    • Single account pool
    • Multiple account pools
    • All associated accounts
  • Enhances governance, reduces duplication, and accelerates onboarding

The feature helps large organizations like Bayer AG manage complex multi-account environments more efficiently, enabling faster innovation and consistent governance across global operations.
