CloudFormation Hooks adds Managed Controls and Hook Activity Summary
News
AWS CloudFormation Hooks has introduced two significant enhancements to improve infrastructure governance and compliance:
- Managed Proactive Controls allow customers to validate resource configurations against AWS best practices without custom Hook logic
- Controls can be selected from the AWS Control Tower Controls Catalog and run in warn mode for testing
- A new Hooks Invocation Summary page provides a centralized view of Hook activity, showing control invocations and outcomes
- AWS-managed controls are curated to align with industry best practices
- The feature is available in commercial and GovCloud (US) regions
These updates simplify compliance reporting, reduce manual errors, and help teams enforce consistent infrastructure policies more efficiently.
