AWS Config has expanded its capabilities to support resource tags for IAM Policies, providing more detailed tracking and configuration management.

  • Users can now track resource tags and changes for IAM Policies in Config recorder
  • Enables scoping of Config-managed and custom rule evaluations based on resource tags

  • Feature is available across all supported AWS Regions at no additional cost
  • Resource tags are automatically populated when recording IAM policy resource types
