AWS has announced the general availability of Amazon EC2 M4 and M4 Pro Mac instances, designed to enhance development workflows for Apple platform applications.
- Built on Apple M4 Mac mini computers with AWS Nitro System
- M4 instances feature 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine, 24 GB unified memory
- M4 Pro instances offer 14-core CPU, 20-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine, 48 GB unified memory
- Delivers up to 20% better application build performance compared to M2 instances
- Comes with 2 TB of local storage for improved caching and performance
- Supports macOS Sonoma version 15.6 and later
Currently available in US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon), these instances provide powerful computing resources for iOS and macOS application development.
